We are hearing good things about the "Double Digit Youth Group" that had its first meeting ever, last Sunday afternoon. There were ten people present and I hear they had a great time. Perhaps they will each tag a friend to bring along next time and . . . who knows how big this thing can get?

Most of you know Ilah Rumple retired as ABC Office Secretary. She put in many years of dedicated service and we are very grateful for all that she did to keep everything up to date and to keep the ducks all in a row. . . but, time marches on. Ilah wants to spend some time with her family and spend some time with her feet up and with the alarm clock "off". Who can blame her? Certainly not I. Thank you, Ilah!

Now there is a new face in the window. Her name is Naomi Ehrman and she slipped quietly, and easily into Ilah's chair. She looks like she is all business, but she has a very pleasant manner, a great sense of humor, plus she is sharp as a tack. Her husband's family lives in Anita, so some of you may already be acquainted with them. Welcome to ABC Parish, Naomi!

CAMPING SEASON IS HERE!—Iowa is blessed with five fantastic UMC campsites. Down in the southwest corner, near Villisca, we have Aldersgate. All campers are invited to swim, canoe, mud slide, ride horses, try archery, go hiking, fishing, rock climbing, sing songs, make s'mores, roast hotdogs, play basketball, take field trips, enjoy bible study and make friends. Activities are keyed to the age of the camper and the range for most camps is from Kindergarten to adult.

Other Iowa camps are:
Lake Okoboji, up near Spirit Lake on the Iowa Minnesota border,
Pictured Rocks
in eastern Iowa, near Monticello,
Golden Valley in southeastern Iowa, south of Iowa City on highway 218,
Wesley Woods at the west
edge of Indianola.

The planned events vary from campsite to campsite, but each camping experience promises to be one you will never forget.

I hope everyone gets to try the camping experience this year, even if just for one weekend. Once you try it, you will want to go again. If you want some more information call our office or, to check on line, go to:
www.iaumc.org/camps.

Thank you all for your help in keeping the wheels rolling this week.
God bless and keep you,
Pastor Lynn
