OUR WEEK — FEBRUARY 3 THROUGH 9TH

Greetings ~ There is a busy week scheduled for ABC Parish.
Sunday, February 3rd is the Last Sunday after the Epiphany. We will be having communion on that day. The selected bible readings for service will be Exodus 24:12-18, Psalm 99 (UMH 819), 2nd Peter 1:16-21, and Matthew 17:1-9.

February 3rd is Superbowl Sunday and at the Casey church, the Youth will be preparing Hoagie (Submarine) sandwiches for your enjoyment. The lunches will consist of sandwich, chips, bar, and drink for $3.00. A phone call (746-2210) or a signature on the sign-up sheet will put you in line.

Monday is traditionally the pastor's day off. Some weeks it works out, sometimes it doesn't. There will be Disciple Study at Casey UMC at 6:30 PM. February 4th.

Tuesday, February 5th there will be Disciple Study at Adair UMC starting at 1:00 PM.

Wednesday, February 6 is Ash Wednesday. There will be a ceremony of the Burning Palms at the Adair UMC at 6:30. We have enlisted the help of our Adair Fire Department to monitor this activity - just to be safe. Worship services will then be held at Adair UMC at 7:00 PM. Bible readings for Ash Wednesday service will be Joel 2:1-2, and 12-17, Psalm 51:1-17 (UMH 785), 2 Corinthians 5:20b-6:10, and Matthew 6:1-6, 16-21.

Saturday, February 9th will be the Benefit for Rita Beattie at the Adair Community Centre, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Our parish is scheduled to donate baked desserts.

Take a look at the new Privacy Fence along the north lot line at the Casey UMC. It is beautiful. Thank you to everyone who made a contribution to it - monetary or muscle.
You might think of a landscaping addition to place near the fence. Flowers, bushes, bench, etc. It's on a nice south facing rise that gets a bit of afternoon sun. It has great possibilities.
Don't forget to place your order for Superbowl Sandwich and trimmings.
