OUR WEEK - FEBRUARY 24TH - MARCH 1ST

REMINDERS — February 20th—The Adair U.M.C. Dorcus/Ruth Circle will meet at 1:30 P.M. with Pat Chesnut as hostess. In Casey there will be no Esther Circle or Martha Circle.
Lenten Service this evening will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Adair. Services will be at 7:00 P.M. with a social hour immediately following.

Sunday, February 24th—3rd Sunday in Lent with the royal color designation of purple. The weather has been difficult at the very least. Consequently there were very few at last Sunday's Adair U.M.C. service, and service in Casey was canceled. Last week's Scripture Readings are still important at this time, so we will read them this week:
Genesis 12: 1-4a,
Psalm 121 (UMH 844),
Romans 4: 1-5, 13-17 and
Gospel Reading is John 3: 1-17.
There will be a "TWEENS" Planning Session held at Cheryl Richter's home this afternoon. Bring your ideas and your suggestions with you.

Monday, February 25th—This is Pastor Lynn's scheduled day off. Casey U.M.C. Disciple Study will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M.

Tuesday, February 26th—Adair U.M.C. Disciple Study will meet from 1:00 to 3:00. Staff Parish Meeting scheduled for 7:00 P.M. has been postponed until Tuesday, March 4th, in Casey.

Wednesday, February 27th—

ABC Parish Finance Committee is scheduled to meet at 6:30 P.M. in Casey U.M.C.
ABC AD Council Meeting for this day is canceled.
We are hosting Lenten Services at Casey U.M.C. Service is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. with fellowship time to follow.

WOMEN OF FAITH CONFERENCE—
A Women of Faith Conference will be held in Omaha, NE March 28th & 29th, 2008. These conferences are held all over the country and they boast some very impressive
speakers.
(Examples: Singer, Sandi Patti, Anita Renfroe, author of "The Purse Driven Life") We are quite fortunate to have a conference planned this close to us.
Let Pastor Lynn know if you would like to attend.

A successful ministry needs a good leader, but it needs many, many other people too. It appears our photos are dwelling on the contributions of the ladies — not so, not so! We could not survive without the hard work of the gentlemen in our church.
We are grateful for their unselfish gift of time and energy. Whatever success we attain, it is everyone that is making it happen. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology uses the phrase "We are the People We've Been Waiting For" . . . . . Absolutely!

God Bless You,
Pastor Lynn
